Bangalore : Former minister Shobha Karandlaje, who lost the poll battle to S Suresh Kumar of the BJP in the Rajajinagar constituency, said the KJP was only six-month-old and could have done better if it had got more time to reach the nook and corner of the State.
The BJP had made baseless allegations against Yeddyurappa and hence, it suffered a setback, she added.
Karandlaje said her defeat in Rajajinagar was secondary and the party had achieved its primary objective of teaching the BJP a lesson. “I am new to Rajajinagar. I contested because party workers pressured me,” she claimed. She had ditched not only the BJP but also Yeshwantpur, the constituency from which she had won in 2008.-DH News
