Kundapur : There is good news for residents of Kundapur. The much awaited proposed fly over works at Shastri Circle is expected to begin in  couple of days and completed  at the earliest.

Even the Kundapur-Talapady four laning project will begin soon. The work had been suspended since some time owing to technical hurdles.

Earlier, though a fly over was not proposed, and instead an embankment planned, it was much opposed by locals and finally following pressure from Udupi MP Jayaprakash Hegde and Rajya Sabha Member Oscar Fernandes, the NH officials had agreed to take up a fly over project as part of the four-laning works.

Though the beginning of the works is a welcome sign, the fact that monsoon is just round the corner, has worried Kundapurites who feel the works may once again be stalled due to rains.
