New Delhi: A 3 judge bench led by Chief Justice, S.H Kapadia, has been formed in New Delhi to decide upon a special leave petition seeking deferment of verdict on Ayodhya title suit. The bench includes Justice Aftab Alam and Justice K.S Radhakrishnan. The 3 eminent judges will hear on Sept 28 at 10.30 am.
The publication of Lucknow bench verdict after several decades as on Sept.24 was halted. The interim stay was given by SC a day earlier. The petitioner, R.C Tripathi sought an out of court settlement to avoid public violence on streets of India. Attorney General Vahanvati will assist the SC when the matter comes up on Tuesday next.
Now the position is that instead of a 3 man Lucknow bench of UP Court, a 3 judge bench of the Supreme Court takes up hearing at a very delayed date before Justice Sharma retires on Sept.30.
