Mangalore : The driver of a route no. 21 bus has been brutally hacked to death by a  group of seven persons near Paldane church on May 18, Saturday night.

The killed driver is Prasanna 30. He was from Vamanjoor and was on way home when a group of around seven persons intercepted him and brutally assaulted him.

A seriously injured Prasanna was immediately rushed to  the Tejaswini Hospital where he died.

Though the exact motive of the incident is not known, a personal rivalry is said to be the reason for the murder. Kankanady police are investigating.
