Mangalore : UT Khader State Minister for Health and Family Welfare visited the busy Central Market and some fishing hubs in Mangalore and thanked everyone for supporting him.
The Minister was visibly upset over the unhygienic conditions at the central market due to the improper waste disposal system which in turn has been causing trouble to pedestrians and motorists.
He said as a health minister he would accord top priority towards maintenance of cleanliness.
Even Mangalore South MLA JR Lobo visited he Central market and was also upset over the way in which vegetable wastes are scattered all over least bothered about the cleanliness aspect. He even met some merchants and heard their problems.
Later the MLA said a meeting of the officials concerned would be convened shortly to discuss the issue and also to expedite the new full-fledged market complex proposal.
