Mangalore : The Mukha Mantapa or the entrance arch of the Kaniyoor Mutt in Udupi was inaugurated by Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt on May 23, Thursday.

On this occasion, veteran scholar Bannanje Govindacharya was conferred with the Vidya Samudra Theertha Award, while Raghavendra Rao, President of Srinivas Group was conferred the Narasimhanugraha title.

Bheemeshwara Joshi, Managing Trustee of Horanadu Kshetra and Udupi MLA Pramod Madhwaraj were the chief guests.

Shree Vidyavallabha Theertha Swamiji of Kaniyoor Mutt,Shakuntala Shetty, Puttur MLA, Kota Srinivas Poojari, former minister, former Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat and others were present.
