Sullia: A fuel tanker which was on its way to Kushalnagar from Mangalore, overturned at Bolubail in the outskirts of Sullia on May 27, Monday. Though it was a matter of great concern and reminded one of the ghastly LPG tanker tragedy reported from Perne some time back, people around seemed least bothered.

On noticing that petrol and diesel stored in separate compartments in the  tanker developed leakage, locals as well a passersby rushed and began to fill the fuel in whichever container they could find, be it a can, a vessel or even a pot.

They were least bothered about the damage that may cause in the event of any spark. Soon the fire service personnel rushed to the spot, dispersed the crowd and plugged the leakage. The police who too arrived dispersed the crowd.
