Mangalore : Father Muller Charitable Institutions of Mangalore has taken over the BA Hospital at Thumbay at a cost of Rs 18 crores. The hospital under the new management will be inaugurated on June 2. The BA Hospital is under Fr Muller management since May 1.
The 100 bed hospital is equipped with state-of-the art facilities and the best of amenities to ensure good treatment to the patients, informed Fr Richard Coelho, Administrator of Father Muller Medical College and Hospital.
Speaking to reporters here, he said the various facilities at the hospital include full-fledged operation theatre, labour theatre. ICU ventilator and central oxygen facility. The hospital has also a full-fled medical lab. The various departments including Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Pediatrics, Physiotherapy, ENT, dental clinic, Opthalmology etc.
Mangalore Diocese Bishop Rev. Fr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangalore, will preside over the inaugural function. B Ramanatha Rai, State Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment and District in-charge Minister, UT Khader, State Minister for Health and Family Welfare, JR Lobo, MLA and B Ahmed Haji Mohiuddeen, founder and Chairman of BA Group, Thumbay will be the chief guests, I Fr Coelho told reporters.
Fr Rudolph D’Sa, Administrator, FMCI, Dr Sanjeev Rai, Chief Medical Services Officer were also present at the press meet.
