Mangalore: The extension works of a house at Bajjodi-Bikarnakatta  proved a nightmare to a house owner in a lower area in the same locality when the extension building collapsed along with the metal sheets on May 30, Thursday.

The extension works of the house of one Santosh D’Costa who owns a residential cm commercial building was taken up a month ago, without raising pillars despite their warning against doing so.

On Thursday the building came rolling down due to loosened soil and the compound wall and the gate of  Lawrence Saldanha was damaged. Even electricity cable was cut off.
