Bantwal : The BA Hospital at Thumbay is now Father Muller Hospital, Thumbay. The Hospital which has been taken over by Fr Muller Charitable Institutions  for Rs 18 crores, was formally inaugurated by Mangalore South MLA JR Lobo on June 2, Sunday.

Lobo also launched Fr Muller Health Card, the benefits of which have been also extended to the new hospital. He handed over the card to the first beneficiary.

Mangalore Bishop Rev. Fr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, blessed the  function.Msgr Denis Prabhu, Vicar General of Mangalore Diocese, unveiled the plaque  mentioning the inauguration.

Founder and Chairman of BA Group BA Mohiudeen, who also spoke, recalled how the idea of taking over came up. He also requested Fr Muller institutions to retain  the prayer hall inside the hospital premises for the benefit of patients.

State Minister for Forest and Environment Ramanatha Rai and State Minister for Health and Family Welfare U T Khadar, were the chief guests of the occasion. They were honoured by the Bishop.

The BA Group Founder was felicitated by Ramanatha Rai. The chief guests were welcomed to the venue by the Fr Muller Band.
