Puttur : Deviprakash Bhandari from Puttur is participating in World Union of Karate Do Federations (WUKF) World Karate Championships being held in Bucharest, Romania from June 5 to 9, 2013. He is representing  the All India Budokan Karate Federation India in the event.

Bhandari had earlier participated in the WUKF intercontinental championships held in Delhi in November  last year and at the national event at Vishakapatna, and had  won in Kata and Kumite categories.

 He has also won prizes in several state and national level championships. He has been practicing Karate since 15 years  and is coached by Suresh M, Assistant Chief Instructor at Institute of Karate and Allied arts (IKAA) in Mangalore. He is working as Airtel territory manager.
