Mangalore : State Minister for Health and Family Welfare UT Khader visited visited the Primary Health Centre at Ullal on June 7, Friday and conducted a meeting with officials.
Speaking on the occasion, Khader asked all officials to strive hard to make the Centre a model health centre. He also expressed his displeasure over the style of functioning of the officials. “ We do not need officials who merely sit in their offices, the minister said.
The minister also sought information from district health officer on the functioning of the centre and on the measures taken to check the spread of Dengue Malaria and other disease.
Later speaking to reports, he said a helpline no 104 would soon be launched to assist the public. The new system is already implemented in Hubli on a trial basis, he said.
Dr Pushpalatha, Medical Officer of Ullal, Dr Rukmini, Women and Child Health Officer, Dr Arun, District Malaria Countol Officer, Dr Shauntala, Administrative Officer of Ladygoschen and others were present.
