Mangalore : The Karnataka Komu Sauharda Vedike will be organizing a function at the St Aloysius College Auditorium, Bavutagudda on June 9, Sunday at 4 pm to thank the discerning voters of the district who have defeated the BJP in the recent elections.
Informing this to reporters, KL Ashok, State Secretary of the Vedike said there will also be an interaction with the victorious MLAs of the three coastal districts, excluding the BJP MLAs. The meeting will also highlight the several demands of the Vedike, Ashok said.
He further stated that a dark chapter in the history of the state has ended with the BJP getting defeated in the recently held assembly elections.
He also stated that the Vedike had acted as a true opposition against the Sangh Parivar. He said the Vedike will not be carried away by the defeat of the BJP and rejoice but will think on the steps that need to be taken in the next five year period by the newly formed government.
