Mangalore : The CITU  staged a protest in front of DC office in Mangalore on June 14, Friday to condemn several policies of the Union government which has posed trouble to the common man.

P Madhavan, State Vice President of the CITU who spoke to the agitators, lambasted the Centre for not coming to the aid of the common man and the working class which reeled under problems. He also criticized the national Food Security Bill. Referring to the state government, he urged the government to fulfill the promises made in the election manifesto including the Re 1per kg of rice.

He also took strong exception to denial of scholarship to children of beedi workers who  did not have Aadhar cards.

The protest was participated by several CITU leaders.
