Mangalore : Prof. Dr Jancy James, Vice Chancellor of Central University of Kerala, Kasargod, said women’s education and equality must be given importance in present day society.

She was delivering the graduation day address on the second Graduation Day ceremony of St Agnes College (Autonomous) at the College auditorium on June 15, Saturday.

She presented  awards to 28 rank holders and degrees to 300 graduates on the occasion.

Sr M Carmel Rita, assistant provincial superior, Karnataka Province, presided over the function; Sr Lydia Fernandes, Superior and Joint secretary, St Agnes College, was also present.

Sr Marie Prem D’Souza, Principal of St Agnes College, earlier inaugurated the function.
