Mangalore : “Laughter has the power to erase our pain. In these days when everyone is experiencing extreme stress, laughter is the best way to enjoy relief from the pressures of life,” said former Chief Minister Sri D. V. Sadananda Gowda.
He was addressing the audience from the sets of ‘Bale Thelipaale’, a Tulu comedy competition at Shasthavu Sri Bhoothanatheshwara Temple, Badaga Yedapadav, Mijar, Mangalore, where he was participating as the esteemed VIP panelist during the quarter finals held on Friday, 21st June 2013 at 7:30 p.m.
In the true spirit of comedy, Sri Sadananda Gowda – who is famous for wearing a permanent smile – made light of himself in his opening remarks. “People always make fun of me because I laugh a lot and today after coming to this comedy show, I have laughed even more” he said, making the audience burst into peals of laughter.
Sri Vijaynath Vittal Shetty, Chief Co-ordinator of the temple and Dr. Shiva Sharan, Director of NammaTV were his co-panelists.
Total of 8 teams participated in the quarter finals. In the finals, winners will be given prizes in two categories: (1) Till 14 Years (Male/Female): First – Rs. 50,000, Second – Rs. 25,000/- and Third – Rs. 15,000/-; (2) Above 14 Years (Male/Female): First – Rs. 1,00,000/- Second – Rs. 50,000/- and Third – Rs. 25,000/-.
Naveen Shetty introduced the show and Suvarna Shetty, Rupesh Shetty were the anchors.
