Mangalore : Deputy Commissioner  Prakash has instructed the authorities concerned to complete the construction works of the
Mahamayi Temple Road works within a week.

He was replying to a query by Hanumanth Kamath of Nagarik Hitharakshana Samithi at a meeting on road safety convened at the DC
office on June 24, Monday.

The DC also took up the issue of unscientific speed breakers in the city which caused trouble to the people. He directed the RTO to take steps to see that the city had scientific speed breakers.

Deputy Commissioner Prakash further instructed that the Padil flyover works be initiated at the earliest.

The  RTO C Mallikarjun who was present at the meeting assured that signal lights would be set up at appropriate places soon.

The issue of jeep drivers of Charmady and Belthangady creating trouble by allowing more passengers in their pick-up jeeps in turn posing danger and trouble, the RTO assured to look into the matter.

MCC Joint Commissioner Srikanth Rao and other officials were present.
