Ayodhya: The Vishwa Hindu Parishat (a world body of Hindus) has welcomed the Lucknow verdict on Ayodhya delivered on Thursday evening. The Court had confirmed that there was a Rama idol in the place where Lord Rama was born in Ayodhya. The Sri Rama Temple should be built on the land acquired by Central govt, and on the entire disputed (2.77 km) area now divided into 3 parts, the international secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishat, Dr. Praveen Togadia said in New Delhi today.
Answering a question from a reporter on the division of the disputed area into 2, the VHP leader told that the Court had rejected the claim of Muslims, by accepting the fact that Rama was born in the disputed area. The Court has made provision for worship of the Rama idol in the area and told not to disturb the images. So the Sunny Wakf Board argument does not hold anymore, Togadia said.
Nothing more needs to be stated, he added.
