New Delhi : Central Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar promised to forgo loans of Araca growers who are in difficulty due to gutka ban in Karnataka state.
In a meeting held in new delhi between chief minister of Karnataka Mr Siddaramayya and Mr Pawar, central minister for Agriculture, it has been desided that aracanut growers of Karnataka are in need of urgent financial assistance and Mr Pawar agreed to waive loans incurred by aracanut growers of Karnataka state.
Mr Siddaramaya urged Pawar to announce special package for Pomegranate growers and areca growers together so that both the farmers get immediate compensation. Responding to a request Pawar agreed to look in to the problems and do the needful.
