NITTE: A two-day national conference on Electrical Engineering Advancement, was begun and helf in Nitte, with S.B. Chandrasekharaiah, EE, SCADA (Design), KPTCL in Bangalore, inaugurating the specialized meet, and telling delegates that there was a big gap between class-room teaching and industrial demands these days, and technical colleges had to bridge the moat (gap), by adequate designing of curriculum, in educating engineering lessons to the students.
The conference began on Friday morning, at NMAM College.
Only quality engineers can produce quality goods to suit international and local markets, he pointed out. The present conference could benefit all engineers to update their knowledge in production and marketing such high products, he stated.
Dr. S.Y. Kulkarni presided on the occasion.
Dr. Kulkarni in his speech said that advancement comes through research and those scientists face new challenges in future. Their research has to reach and benefit common man everywhere he added.
Prof. Vasudeva Shettigar, welcomed. Raksha Adapa thanked the gathered delegates Prof. Latha Shenoy introduced the guest speaker. Arul Lobo compered the proceedings. Over 75 delegates wanted to present research papers in 2 days here.
