Mangalore: A teacher was killed in an accident when the two-wheeler she was riding skidded into a roadside pit at Bajal cross on September 21, Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Bendore resident Symprose Tauro alias Celine Miranda (58) a teacher at St Joseph Higher Primary School at Kulshekar.

It is learnt that, the deceased was riding pillion on a bike with her son when the bike skidded and fell into a roadside sustaining injuries. She was immediately rushed to hospital and breathed her last.

Symprose is survived by her husband Frank Miranda and children Flywon and Floyd.

A case has been registered at the Mangalore rural police station.

Her last rites will be held St Sebastian Church, Bendore on Wednesday, September 24.
