Bantwal: A Community Hall has been built at a cost of Rs.62 lakhs in Goodin Bali of B.Mada grama, under the auspices of Backward classes and Min9orities Development department, with the active corporation of Hayatul Islam Sangh, and the unveiling of its name board took place on Oct.7 at the hands of B.Janardhana Poojary who wished the Muslim brethren well, amidst his busy schedule at Kudroli.
Anwar Manippady, state Minorities Commission chairman, inaugurated the Community Hall and informed the gathering that the Hall was a symbol of inter communal harmony, on the coastal region and the state.
Bantwal MLA, B.Ramanath Rai presided. Mangalore MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, coastal Development Authority chairman B.Nagaraja Shetty, DK BJP chief Padmanabha Kottari among others were chief guests. Several Muslim dignitaries were present.
Bantwal TP member Mohd.Iqbal welcomed the gathering. Journalist B.Farook thanked. B.Ramachandra Rao conducted the proceedings P.A.Raheem made introductory remarks.
