Vittal : A gang of men affiliated to Hindu fundamental group allegedly attacked two at Kanyana for transporting cattle illegally to Kerala on Oct 4, Saturday morning.

It is learnt that, Kanyana resident Sathish and others waylaid the pick-up van transporting three cattle being transported to Anekallu in Kerala and thrashed driver Chandru from Kepu and Abdul Razak from Alike.

After attacking them, the gang also damaged the front glass of the vehicle and filled salt in the engine.

The victims have been taken to Puttur private hospital for treatment, while the attackers managed to flee from the scene.

A case has been registered at Puttur police station.
