Mangalore: Two cattle thieves Hussain Kabir alias Bodda Kabbi(35) and Jabbar Hussain alias Jabbi(26), were caught by Mangalore city police on Sunday Dec.29 at near Krishnapura. They have been in the illegal cattle theft business, supplying cows and calves to the slaughter houses in Bantwal, UIlal, Jokatte and Kudroli for the last 7 years in a thriving trade making an income of Rs.20000 to Rs.30000 for a load of 5 or 6 cows in a Van by secret transportation of the dumb animals from the cow Shedds of rural families in various places of DK district, stolen at night as transported in a hurry and illegally to slaughter than as meet for Muslims homes.
The duo have been produced in a court and remanded to 15 days of judicial custody for further investigation and to c rack the racket of beef sales and stolen cows, as there is a ban on cow transport and killing in unclean slaughter.
The of 2 gangsters was made by a police team headed by inspector MA Natara and his team of police officials, while a third gangster Kammaradi Haneef, is still at large and absconding.
