Mangalore: A world Konkani Organisation ( Jagothik Konkani Sanghton) has been established here on Aug 20, at Kalangann, Shaktinagar with 126 organisations from 13 countries represented here in a large conclave of Konkani speakers, with Luis.J.Pinto (Mandd Shobann chief) presiding over the meet. The General Assembly adopted a Constitution within which it works, decided on a plan of action, and elected an Executive Committee.
A world Konkany day was celebrated on Saturday (Aug 20) evening at SAC-I.T Hall. Hamsalekha, a musician, was the chief Guest. Dr.K.A.Ashok Pai launched JKS. It was a great episode in the history of coastal Konkani region.
