Mangalore : A group of eight unidentified people attacked a person with wooden sticks near Vamanjoor junction on October 16, Thursday 1.45 pm.

The victim has been identified as Praveen Carlo (26), who had sustained injuries on his head, stomach and back.

According to police, Praveen is said to be notorious person and has association with underworld and the exact reason behind the attack is not known.

The attackers are said to be absconding now and investigation is on.
