Bantwal : A situation of tension erupted in Kalladka, when a group of people attacked a youth on April 10, Thursday.
It is said that a group had allegedly stopped the youth and assaulted him, due to which resulted in group clash, where they hurled soda bottles and stones at each other at around 8.30 pm. The clash was followed by a bandh in the area.
The local in Kalladka closed down their business establishment soon after the incident. Several vehicles were damaged due to stone
Two teams of KSRP police, who were camping at the area had to resorted to lathi charge to control the situation
Bantwal town police SI and Bantwal police circle inspector rushed to the spot.
The injured were identified as Ayyappa devotees Suresh (32), Sadashiva (39) and Satish (30), who were later admitted to Vittal general hospital.
A Maruti car belonging to Ritesh Shetty and a Toofan vehicle of Ayyappa devotees, residents of Kottigehara of Moodigere, Chikmagalur were also damaged in the incident.
Circle inspector Rajashekhar Mistry said that at present the situation in Kalladka is said to be under control.
