Surathkal: some unidentified persons kidnapped a youth in the broad daylight near Kantheri Dhoomavathi Temple at Surathkal on September 29, Monday.

According to the sources, a group of people who arrived in a Scorpio caught hold of a youth who as trying to escape from them.

The local who saw it questioned them and in turn they replied that youth had cheated them of Rs 50 lakh. After assaulting him publicly he was abducted.

The Surathkal police are in search of the youth and his kidnappers.
