Bajpe : Five persons were attacked by a group of over hundred persons after they barged into a house at Ganjimutt Mogaru village of Bajpe on Oct 5, Sunday night over the dispute of throwing garbage in the area.

The victims are identified as Sadashiva Kiladi, his mother Dejamma and Sandeep. He same group had also attacked Panchayat member Jayanand and others over the same issue.

It is learnt that, local poultry farm and chicken shop owners used to dump the organic wastes in the Arbi area of the village turning it to a dumping yard. Due to this the locals who faced inconvenience had the Panchayat and the police to take stringent action against the individuals who dump wastes.

But on Sunday when the waste was brought for disposal at Arbi, locals objected and sent them away and in no time a huge mob returned to the spot and barged into Sadashiva Kiladi’s house and attacked five persons.

Bajpe police have registered case against Nawaz Kuppepadau, Riyaz Kaje, Yazi Kaje, Jabeer Manipalla, Assalam Manipalla, Reheman Kuppepadau, Reheman Kaje and several others for attack.
