Mangaluru : A man was found dead near the compound wall of a building at Neermarga here on Thursday January 28.

The identity of the deceased is not yet known. The neighbor  lady Suspecting him to be a thief, she also alerted the security guard who in turn tried to chase him. It is said that while the man tried to escape, he fell from one of the floors onto the ground and died.

It is also said that the residents of the flat put the body outside the compound and cleared the blood stains.

Police said that the cause of the death is unclear adding that no concrete evidence has been found yet.

Mangaluru rural police have registered a case. CCTV footages are being checked, it is learnt.

Further investigations are underway.
