Udupi: Vijay (28), a married man with a wife and child, working as a representative in Malpe under SKDRD project, borrowed Rs.1 Lakh from Veena (21), who was working in Dharmasthala self-help Group, did not repay the amount given by her under a loan scheme, and duped her when the period came to repay the amount of loan taken by her.

It appears that Veena had created domestic ill-will in Vijays family by her association with a married man like Vijay.

A shocked group of villagers at Uggelbettu, Uppoor in Belmar near Udupi found the 2 friends- Vijay and Veena had committed suicide on an electric pole in a plantation on early Sunday, to their horror.

The reason for the death of these 2 young people’s is not explained in any written note, forcing the local police from Brahmawar to registered a case of unnatural death and continue investigation in the double death case.
