Mangalore : A 20 year old merit student of Bagalkot lost his life in an road accident in Bejai on Sunday, January 26.

The deceased has been identified as Akshay Godi (20), he was riding a Bullet bike with his friend Sanjeev H Gowda (20). Akshay was riding, lost control while on the hump, and crashed in to the road divider. The co -rider sustained injuries, Akshay seriously injured, and immediately rushed to the private hospital, but he breathed his last.

Sanjiv and Akshay were old students of Expert P.U.College and had come to the city to attend the Alumni Day celebrations. Both had arrived in the city on January 25 and were staying at Kuntikan along with a friend.

Akshay Godi was pursuing second year medicine in Bangalore. Sanjiv H.Gowda of Mandya is also medical student, studying at Adi Chunchanagiri Medical College.

Traffic police have registered a case.
