Kasargod:  A young woman from Badiadka who is just 20 is possibly regretting her mistake. Her only mistake was to track down a missed call she received on her mobile in the year 2009. The call resulted in friendship and much more trouble until she was sexually exploited by three men, one of them even reportedly robbing her jewellery.

Two of the accused are now cooling their heels behind bars while another is still at large.

The arrested are Sudhakar (36) of Marpanadka and Ravichandra alias Ravi (26) of Nirchal Bela near Nirchal. They have been remanded to judicial custody till July 10.

The complaint said that since 2009 when she first met Sudhaker, she has been repeatedly sexually exploited not only by him, but also by two of his friends in various places, with one of them Mohammad Haleef even robbing her chain and also that of a neighbour’s Mangalasutra, which she had borrowed to wear while accompanying Haleef.

It is learnt, the woman was sexually exploited with a promise to marry her.
