Bangalore: The Karnataka left arm speedster, Srinath Arvind has been named in the Team India to face visiting England team for ODI series. He is 27. The matches commence after IPL finals.
Srinath is in national and IPL teams as well, when he was noticed to find a place in ODI-15, for the first time. There are Vinay Kumar and Abhimanyu Mithun with him, who played earlier.
Whereas Mithun and Vinay have failed in the opportunities provided to them, Karnataka exposed the existence of one more pace bowler like a new arrow from its scabbard. There could be more in the line to come. All three were in a Ranji Trophy team, as fast bowlers.
In 2010-11 season, Srinath Arvind took 26 wickets. In Duleep Trophy, he took 10 wickets. In both “Trophy” games, he came second. In IPL-4, Srinath Arvind played in 13 games, securing 21 wickets. Srinath Arvind is from city of Bangalore. He has Javagal Srinath and Venkatesh Prasad as models to scorch the earth on his stride, and bowl intelligently to win matches against Englishmen. He has to labour hard.
