Mangalore : A full length feature film on the life and works of Brahmarshi Narayana Guru of Kerala is taking shape in all its glory for the first time in history on the coastal region of DK district, were Actor- Director-Producer Rajashekhar Kotian is doing all he can to bring up the film in full faith and transferency of the character of the Malayalee saint sri Narayana Guru who had visited Mangalore during his life time and left a clear imprint of his philosophy of social equality and human brother wood on the tuluva people, especially the Billavas.
This was informed in Hotel Srinivas in Mangalore on Jan.15 Wednesday 2014 during a press conference called by Rajashekhar Kotian.
The film is produced by Kotian under the banner of Tungabadra productions with Music by Praveen Godkhindi ( A famous flutist ), cinematography by P.K H Dass, script by a trio of Amrith Someshwar (professor), Sudhakar Bannanje and Chandra Shekar Suvarna of Mulki, Editing by Sanjeeva Reddy, Historic costumes by Gagan Suvarna and play back singing by Udith Narayan, Ajay Variyar and Rajesh Krishna.
The 150 minute film coast Rs 1 crore 30 lakhs or more, when completed. It is hopefully being release in the first week of April 2014. The Tulu film has made no compromises in its quality, production values and technical standards which are comparable to a Hindi or English movie.
The press meet was addressed by none other than Rajshekar Kotian him self who placed the role of a village chief, and Artist Chandra Shekar Suvarna of Mulki.
