Chennai: Sadiq Batcha, a former assistant of DMK MP A. Raja now in custody for 2G Spectrum exposures, and a co-accused, is stated to have committed suicide Chennai at his residence Wednesday (March).
Police sources stated that the incident had occurred in Vanniyar Teynampet this afternoon (Wednesday).
His family members had rushed Batcha to the Apollo Hospital on Graems Road, but doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. Batcha was expected to go to Delhi on a 2-30PM flight Wednesday, on a summons from CBI about 2G Spectrum enquiry, but could not make it.
