Bajpe : The President of Pera Jummah Masjid Rafiq (60) was found dead at Gurupur river near Maravoor on Saturday, April 18.

It is said, Rafiq left to the Pera mosque in his car around 1.30p.m. on Saturday. He also informed his driver to pick him at 3.30p.m and driver reached in time, he was not to be seen there. Hence a search was launched during which his body was found floating in the river.

Rafiq is survived by a wife, two sons and a daughter. He was popular for the apartments at Kenjar-Karambar built by his firm 313.

The body has been shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru for autopsy. Doctors informed that further details will be out collected after the autopsy report is out.

Bajpe police have registered a case.
