Mangalore: Ten eminent persons in Kannada language will receive ‘Nudi-Siri’ awards at the Dr. Mohan Alva’s literary convention to be held at Poet Ratnakara Varni Auditorium at Vidyagiri(hills) in Moodabidri town from November 11 to 13, 2011.
M.V. Kamath(Journalism), Chidambara Rao Jambe(Drama),Dr B.T.Lalitha Naik(Lambani tribe), K.S. Nisar Ahmed(poet) , Chandrashekhar Patil(KS Parishat services), Pandavapura Ankegowda (Folklore), C.N. Ramachandra(University education), Sumitra B.K.(Sugam Sangeet)Machar Gopal Naik(Yakshagana) and cine actor Srinath, are selected to receive these awards at the valedictory function. Dr. Ch. Kambara, Current Jnana Peetha awardee, also will be felicitated on the occasion(November 13).
Baragur Ramachandrappa, a Dalit writer, inaugurates the Convention on November 11, when Dr. M. M. Kalburgi, historian and educationist, will preside.
