Bantwal: A gang attacked to a youth and brutally murdered in open at Maripalla near Farangipet in the Bantwal taluk here on Saturday June 21.

The deceased identified as Naushad (26) son of Balekai Khader was attacked at Maripalla at around 6 pm. Shameer who was with him was also injured by the gang attack.

Sources said, it was a rivalry and grudge of Nooruddin murder in the year 2011. He owned a fast food joint and when the call came he was cooking for his shop. Naushad went to the spot in his Alto car, and as soon he reached, the gang attacked him with a sickle.

He tried to escape and began to run, but the attackers caught him and brutally assaulted him until he fell down on the ground with his hand mutilated, he died on spot.

He was facing charges in 15 cases including murder of Noorudin in the year 2011. he was acquitted in 12, including Nooruddin murder case, the rest were pending for trial. His name was also included in rowdy sheeter.

He got married just last year.

Belliappa, circle inspector, Bantwal arrived at the spot.
