Mangaluru : A rowdy-sheeter and his gang allegedly attacked  a scrap dealer at Vamanjoor on Sunday, June 24 evening.

It is said a rowdy-sheeter called Rahif and five of his associates attacked the Khalid (45), a resident of Ulaibettu, when he was about to close his shop at 6 pm in the evening.

Rahif and a group of six including Rahif, Nawaz and Mustafa asked Khalid to give them hafta. When Khalid refused to pay to their demand, he was abused and attacked with rods.

Rahif and his gang are habitual rowdy-sheeters and many cases are registered against them.

Khalid has been admitted to a hospital in Mangaluru.
