Puttur: A resident of Pai compound in Kadaba, went to Dubai only to commit suicide there on Sunday, Dec 4.

Her body is expected in Madikeri, her mother’s native place, for last rites.

Smitha got married to Naveen Parpaunja on Oct. 16, at Darbe in Puttur. The new couple went to Dubai. But on Dec 4 Smitha left a death note to say that she loved someone else in herself by a ceiling fan at her Dubai home, when the husband was away.

Naveen is shocked by the extreme step taken by his wife. It is a lesson for all parents to consult their (daughter) girls, before marriage talks are held.
