Bantwal : A speeding car fatally knocked down a woman pedestrian at Adyar on October 15, Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Sanjeevi (50).

Reportedly, the speeding Alto car heading towards Mangalore from B.C. Road overturned after hitting the pedestrian woman, inuring the driver.

According to the sources, after the accident Sanjeevi was lying in the pool of blood on the road for nearly 15 minutes and later a person named Sammad Sompady took her to a private hospital while on her way to Puttur, but could not save her.

Sammad said that even though a 108 Ambulance pass that way, it did not bother to help the injured pedestrian.
