Mangalore : A young married lady committed suicide along with her 2year old son at Pachanady here on Friday July 4.

The deceased, Shruthi (24) a beautician by profession, was staying at her parents’ home jumped into a well along with her two-year-old son Pratheek.

Shruthi’s husband Ramesh Acharya was taken into custody after this incident. Ramesh staying at Veeranagar, is a goldsmith by profession.

On July 3, Shruthi didn’t came from her room in morning. Shruthi’s sister went to her room to wake her up, she found that Shruthi and her child were missing.

July 4 Friday morning, Shruthi’s father found the bodies in the well.

Shruthi had joined a beauty parlour at Shaktinagar last week. Shruthi and her husband both were residing in Puttur since one year. They had recently shifted to Shruthi’s mother’s house in Pachanady.

Family sources said, her husband had financial problem, she had a lot of gold ornaments but Ramesh taken away her gold.

Kankanady rural police have registered a case against Ramesh Acharya.
