Mangalore: A private PU college student Mahima (17) was found hanging in the hostel room at Valachil in Mangalore on Wednesday, June 25.

Mahima (17), daughter of Rajendra and Nitya from Kollegal in Chamrajnagar is ended her life due to depression.

Tuesday night her friends saw crying Mahima and she informed them that she was missing her parents. Though the reason for the intense step is not known, the student had joined the course just three days ago.

Police said, a book found in her room in the first two pages she had written notes her experience in the college that she was happy and had made friends. She grieve that she was missing her parents.

The Kankanady police are investigating further details.
