Bantwal : A youth was killed in an accident when the motorcycle he was riding rammed in to a car at Mani in Bantwal taluk on September 28, Sunday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Kabaka Kambalabettu resident Harish Poojary (28), son of Babu Poojary.

The incident took place when Harish, who managed a furniture store at Alira village near Mani rammed into Maruti Alto in a bid to overtake it fell on road and was crushed under a government bus coming in the opposite direction killing him on the spot.

A case has been registered at Vittal police station.
