Kundapura : A man was killed in a hit-and-run accident at Mullikatte near Hosadu village in Gangolli police station limits in Kundapur taluk in the early hours of Monday.

The police said Avinash Kharvi (25) a resident of Gangolli village, was going on his motorcycle from Kundapur to Gangolli, when an unidentified vehicle collided against his motorcycle from the opposite direction and went away at around 12.30 a.m.

A severely injured Avinash was rushed to the Government Hospital in Kundapur, where he was pronounced brought dead by doctors. A case has been registered and investigations were on, the police said.
