Mangaluru : Lying dormant after the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the coast hopes to spring back into action on the Party’s landslide victory in New Delhi.
While AAP Dakshina Kannada district Secretary, Rohan Shiri said that the Party would strengthen its presence by increasing its volunteer base and request all who dream of a corrupt-free India, to join the party. He also warned Councillors to either start working towards improvement of their wards or face the Aam Aadmi in the next election.
AAP candidate for Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha, M.R. Vasudeva, who has stayed away from the party, feels enthused to participate in the AAP’s activities.
The Udupi-Chikkamagaluru constituency Lok Sabha candidate, Gurudev S.H. said that the New Delhi wave will trickle down to the districts here and hoped to take up issues of corruption and mining activities – something that he is already working on. He hopes to have at least one volunteer in each of 1,800 booths.
