Mangalore : The Aam Admi Party (AAP) is all set to make its presence felt in Dakshina Kannada district with its official launch at Kadri Park on February 15, Friday, said joint secretary S Nandagopal.
Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on Feb13, Wednesday, he said that the party’s district unit will be officially launched by renowned political analyst and national executive member Prof Yoginder Yadav at a public meeting.
He also said that a team led by Yadav and comprising of Karnataka State Convener of the party, Prithvi Reddy, Mysore Division conveners Chandrakanth, Pramod Karkera and Hariharan will be in the city as a part of AAP’s ‘Mission Buniyad’ which intends to set up party units in the grass root levels throughout the country. The team will hold meeting with the recently formed as-hoc preparatory committee in the district which is now working towards strengthening the party in the taluk and assembly segments in DK.
Revealing the details about the programme, Nandagopal said that the daylong deliberations will be held at the CODP Hall in the city, culminations at the public meeting at Kadri Park in the evening. Prof Yadav will also deliver a lecture on ‘Democratic Reforms and Electoral Politics’ after releasing the monthly newsletter of the party unit to mark the occasion.
Committee members Robert Rosario, Rohan Shiri, Roshan and Sajith were present at the press meet.
