Mangaluru : The Aam Admi Party will announce new committees at all levels of the party in a month as a part of its Mission Vistar initiative, said the party’s Karnataka spokesperson Ravikrishna Reddy.
Speaking to presspersons here on Monday, Mr. Reddy said the mission is a democratic process to expand the party base. Independent observers have already held preliminary meetings in all States. Retired IPS officer Ajay Jhai had done the same in Karnataka.
AAP volunteers from Karnataka will be in Delhi during the scheduled Assembly elections in February to undertake the campaign. While the party will look after their expenditure during the campaign, volunteers will have to bear their travel cost, Mr. Reddy said.
Speaking about the prevailing situation in the State, Mr. Reddy said that the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party are two faces of the same coin.
Though people had elected the Congress to power after being fed up with communal clashes, such violence had not abated during the Congress regime. The government should rein in fundamentalists in all religions, Mr. Reddy added.
