Bangalore: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has fielded anti-corruption activist Santhosh Mohan Gowda against Deve Gowda from Hassan for the Lok Sabha polls. The party announced its list of candidates for 15 parliamentary constituencies in the state on Friday.
AAP, which has already announced the candidates to 13 constituencies in the state, will be fielding candidates in all the 28 parliamentary constituencies in Karnataka.
Santhosh Mohan Gowda is an advocate and owns a coffee plantation.
The party also fielded Shivakumar Giriyappa Malagi against B Sriramulu in Bellary. Malagi had earlier worked as a journalist. He also worked with anti-corruption crusader S R Hiremath in exposing mining scams in Bellary.
AAP has fielded K V Kumar against cine actress Ramya from Mandya. Besides managing his cable TV network, Kumar also edits Neladodilu, a local newspaper founded by freedom fighter H S Doreswamy.
Padmamma M V, coordinator and treasurer of Oneness University, which organises events related to rural development and spiritual growth, will contest from Mysore.
